Problem
KRAK set out to disrupt the streaming landscape dominated by giants like SiriusXM and Spotify with a bold vision for a modern, creator-driven experience. Yet, their ambition was constrained by outdated digital channels, the absence of a scalable platform for shows and live events, and limited opportunities for audiences to explore or interact beyond passive listening. They needed more than a digital facelift, they needed a complete ecosystem that could scale rapidly, attract new audiences, and set a new standard for how streaming connects creators and fans.
Solution
The result is a dynamic streaming platform that merges design and technology into a seamless user experience. The homepage highlights live shows and events, the show detail pages bring creators and communities to life, and the e-commerce integration opens new revenue streams. With badpixel’s design and development expertise, KRAK launched as a visually striking, technically robust product, a platform ready to compete with established players while offering something refreshingly different for both audiences and creators.

Responsive "Mobile First" Design
For a streaming media platform like KRAK, responsive web design is what keeps discovery and playback frictionless across phones, tablets, laptops, and large screens, making sure users can browse, press play, subscribe, and share without fighting the interface. We designed layouts and components that intelligently reflow by device, preserving content hierarchy while optimizing for touch, readability, and speed, so the experience feels purpose-built everywhere instead of a desktop site squeezed into mobile, which directly supports higher engagement, retention, and repeat visits.
Show & Event Pages
We designed show and event pages as dedicated destinations that make each program feel like its own brand hub, surfacing the essentials fast, days, times, hosts, talent, and then expanding into richer storytelling with show-specific guests, featured moments, merchandise, and related events. The structure stays highly scannable while still content-rich, helping first-time visitors quickly understand the show and giving loyal fans a place to follow what’s next, driving deeper engagement and clearer calls to action.
eCommerce & Product Detail Pages
KRAK’s store was designed to feel native to the streaming experience, connecting merch directly to shows, talent, guests, and sponsors so shopping flows naturally from fandom instead of feeling bolted on. We built browsing and product detail pages around confidence and discovery, clear product storytelling, clean option selection, and smart cross-merchandising like shopping by show, collection, or sponsor, making it easy to explore, buy on impulse, and return for future drops while increasing sponsor visibility.
Custom Streaming CMS
We implemented a headless architecture using DatoCMS for content and headless Shopify for commerce, separating content, commerce, and presentation so KRAK can update schedules, guests, show pages, events, and promos quickly without engineering bottlenecks. Powered by a custom, flexible backend tech stack, this approach makes the platform easy to expand and future-proof, enabling new front-end experiences, new sections, new devices, and new revenue models without re-platforming, while giving content teams speed, control, and consistency at scale.
Conclusion
KRAK started with a big goal, build a creator-driven streaming platform that could stand toe-to-toe with SiriusXM and Spotify, and needed an ecosystem that was as scalable as it was bold. Over 12 months, badpixel helped turn that vision into a complete digital product, pairing brand and product strategy with a high-performance, responsive experience, show and event destinations built to grow community, commerce designed to feel native to the content, and a flexible headless CMS foundation powered by DatoCMS, headless Shopify, and a custom backend built for expansion. The result was a visually striking, technically robust platform that didn’t just modernize KRAK’s presence, it created the groundwork for multiple revenue streams, faster content operations, and a future-ready product roadmap that could evolve alongside audiences, creators, and the business.
